ENVIRONMENTAL AREA

Our school’s Environmental Area is a 1 acre parcel of land on the site of our school. It is currently under development, through the support of local businesses and is co-ordinated by Brett Radley, who is a staff member at our school. All students are involved in the development of this area, as well as an ongoing partnership with Kyabram P-12 College. Areas include: school and community vegetable garden beds, an aquaponics station, Indigenous Sensory Garden, quiet play space, outdoor kitchen, campfire, outdoor classroom, combat course, cubby house and spacious lawn space.

TONGALA COMMUNITY FITNESS HUB

The school was fortunate to receive funding through the State Government, ‘Pick My Project’ initiative in 2018. This has led to the development of the Tongala Community Fitness Hub, on the grounds of our school. The idea is to create a space that can be used by the school on a daily basis and also benefits the wider community. A community based committee have overseen this project, which has resulted in a 400 metre running track, 18 piece fitness cluster, seating and shade support.

MULTI PURPOSE ROOM

Our Multi Purpose Room is a great addition to our school. It allows the school to run an effective Arts program for all students. A visual arts space allows the students to work independently or collaboratively to show their creativity. The other end of the building is where the school runs its Performing Arts program, which involves the aspects of Dance, Drama and Music. Breakfast club is also operated from this space and it is large enough to support whole school performances.
